IGNITE climate shorts - young creatives respond to the climate crisis through audio drama.

Six scripts were commissioned from 16-25-year-old creatives across the UK in response to the theme "the science behind the climate crisis". The writers took part in workshops with industry mentors from across the arts and sciences, including writers Dava Sobel, Barbara Kingsolver, playwrights Lauren Gunderson and Tim X Atack, MD of Sparklab Productions Mel Harris, and climate activist Fehinti Balogun. Each script also had a science advisor tailored to their story, such as the lead author of the 6th IPCC report and the principal scientist at the Royal Horticultural Society.

The dramas were recorded with 2nd year BSc Acting students at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and were published as a 6-part anthology series on Earth Day, April 22nd, 2021.

IGNITE is supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry. It is a co-production between Fierce Green Productions and Rhiannon Media.
