Song of the Siren

“My story centres around pollution and what permanent damage "forever chemicals” like PFAS (perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances) can do to an ecosystem. The story is told through a journalist’s perspective because it is also about how long-standing relationships between the media and organisations of power can make the news incapable of covering these existential problems, creating an uncertainty and mistrust between the media and its audience that ultimately only benefits pollution profiteers.”
